I do agree with you Nese that dogs are protective because if you are the owner and you are in danger they are always there. Keep up with your writing and the good effort.

Kia ora Nese. Lovely to see your different reasons well set out in paragraphs. Your writing has made me remember an event from a long time ago! When my own children were little, they were playing in our own front yard. Suddenly, an enormous brindle coloured dog came rushing towards them! Our own dog, a brown Labrador named Cadbury,shot out from behind the house like a bolt of lightning, growling and snarling at the other dog. The other dog turned and ran away and never came back. Cadbury was protecting the children. It was the only time we ever saw him growl. So Nese, I agree that dogs can be protective! Wendy R3
